You can always visit the hotel area for
lunch
and shopping, but it is nice to return to the oasis of the Outrigger.

Our favorite activities - biking down Haleakala, snorkeling trip to Molokini with Four Winds II, exploring the road to Hana (and a great bbq chicken
lunch
at Brudda Hunts BBQ, just beyond Hana), and exploring the west coast.

After a delicious
lunch
overlooking Lahaina Harbor, we headed back to the resort to retrieve our room keys and familiarize ourselves with the property.

My Husband and I would usually make a
lunch
to go, drive to a nearby beach, then return in the late afternoon for a happy hour that we could walk to.

The kitchenette worked perfect for us, we bought breakfast and
lunch
items at the local grocery store and had breakfast in each morning before we'd start our adventures.

We reached earlier than the check-in time(travel agent had requested early check-in) & our condo was ready but the second one had to be inspected, so we were given maps & directions to go have
lunch
nearby and were allowed to check-in as soon as we got back.

No, we didn't actually cook on vacation either, but to have a full kitchen for snacks and easy breakfast was perfect, not to mention a place to keep the leftovers from
lunch
and dinner.

Eating on the island can get expensive, so we were able to cook breakfast and pack
lunch
before we went out for the day.
