1. This resort is within walking distance of everything you need: shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Lahaina itself just has an amazing atmosphere.
2. We love the location, love the economy of the place (it is half the price of Ka'anapali properties), love being in close proximity to so many restaurants and bars and love not having to drive after having one or two (or three) mai tais.
3. It was perfect distance to shops, bars, restaurants and marina.
4. Also have to mention how much my family enjoyed staying in the heart of Lahaina, as you have so many choices to go shopping, access to multiples luau's, and bars/restaurants all within walking distance.
5. Location: Walking distance to many restaurants, bars, grocery stores, shops, great surfing etc..
6. Main plates (delicious including Vietnamese, Ox Tail soup etc. -- i.e. most unusual bar food) are $10 each which is cheaper than on Front Street.
7. I guess it is their job to be biased into selling their trips for the commission I wanted luau and reading guidebooks could not decide between Old Lahaina, Lele or Drums at the Hyatt, Expedia rep recomended Drums but from speaking to other guests went with Feast at Lele which was really great, a bit costly but good to have table service & welcome lei & free bar.
8. The Aina Nalu is conveniently located a couple blocks from Front Street (downtown area with all the restaurants, bars, and shops of Lahaina) which made it perfectly situated for us because we did not rent a car.
9. Leaving the car behind to walk to bars, restaurants and Foodland was great.
10. But the most amazing part---there was an outdoor living room type area, fully equipped w/a flatscreen tv,couches and end tables,a sink and bar ice machine and vending machines, and very clean restrooms.
