1. The lobby did nothing to reassure me that the whole concept behind the top nine floors of the old Meier and Frank building as a luxury hotel was more than a bit contrived but I was simply wowed by the 10 start check in and the 'boys' at the door moving in swiftly and quietly, taking charge of the car, the luggage and all the details.

2. We got a super deal for three days, something ridiculous like $100 US per night (plus, I think, an extra charge for parking, not sure though and best to check).
