1. The kids missed having a pool but appreciated the excellent gelato at Penguini and at Ono Gelato.

2. There is a small rock pile to one side so there are plenty of little tide pools to view small fish, starfish, etc. - perfect for the kiddies to explore.

3. If your idea of a good time in Hawaii does not involve standing in lines, swimming up to a pool bar, paying for a lawn chair on the beach while people walk by to sell you drinks, then consider the Paia Inn.

8. If you don't mind walking, there are a couple more beaches to the left of the inn including baby beach (Practically a swimming pool!) There is a nice breakfast every morning (muffins, juice, fruit, etc.) which is good but not very filling.

9. The only thing I missed was a pool, but we stayed for two nights and spent the rest of our trip at a large resort on the west side of Maui, so I got my pool time there.
