3. We ate breakfast at the Paia Inn on our last day, and wished that we had eaten there every morning, although there is a coffee house two minutes down the road by foot, on the Hana Highway just past the lights, that has breakfast burritos, great coffee and super nice hosts.

6. Granted, the weather on Maui's north shore tends to be cooler, windier and a tad wetter than in the tourist oriented areas of Wailea and Makeena, but this is more than compensated by Paia's proximity to the Hana Highway, Ho'okipa beach, the uplands area or Maui, and the airport.
