1. After a big argument they ended up agreeing to let us check out and we went to a much nicer hotel, very far away from elevators, to a much deserved night of sleep.

2. One fun art-deco detail to check out while you're there: The glass mail slot that links all of the floors so you can watch outgoing mail sail past your floor down to the mail room.

8. Be sure to check out the Bruch at the Rib Room on Sundays--very nice and they have live jazz musicians that go around to play at different tables.

I highly suggest joining their loyalty program (it's free!) for some great perks such as free wi-fi, morning beverage delivery, clothes pressing, free nights and airline miles, bottled water, shoe shine, express check-in and out, newspaper of choice, turndown service, room upgrades, and late check out and early check-in.
