1. I chose it over the Hyatt down the street for the amenities (namely free breakfast and wifi).

2. Despite efforts, asking the hotel staff & the guys manning the info booths on the street downtown for their suggestions, we never really managed to find a cool area of Atlanta to hang out in with good shopping, restaurants etc. However, we liked the Hyatt Place enough to stay at another one elsewhere in our road trip.
"Pleasantly surprised, huge rooms. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/28/2012 Vote
3. The windows from my room looked out across the street to the Marriott hotel, it was a no frills view.
"The enormity of the hotel complexes downtown are impressive " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/18/2011 Vote
4. Lots of homeless people around, the shelter is just down the street.
"Service staff needs training on how to handle problems, and communicate with each other. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/18/2011 Vote
5. Security guards and cops line Peachtree Street, we felt safe walking around at night.

6. You didn't have to pay it if you didn't want to, but then you had to find parking somewhere else, streets, etc and not being familiar with the area we chose to pay.
"GREAT CHOICE! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/25/2010 Vote
7. We were on the fifth floor, overlooking the roof of a nearby building, and all we heard were the usual city noises you'd hear anywhere - the occasional horn or siren out on the street.
"What a unexpected gem! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/30/2009 Vote
