1. It is set back from the street so there is no street noise.

2. Pros- Room cleaned 2x a day (and a cute bottle of evian water left in your room every evening)- Comfortable bed/sheets, big mirrors, standard bathroom- Great closet with shelves- Breakfast/Lunch food is standard, yet amazing with the flair they add - Convenient: A short walk to Lincoln Road Mall and convention center- Quiet (wide setback from the main street)- They have Ipod/CD playing decks and DVD playerCons:- Dim lobby and elevator (i think you can live with that-it's part of the 50s feel)- Walls are thin.

3. I didn't notice any street noise, having asked for a high room, and besides, the hotel is set back from the street behind a high hedge which I suspect was planted for both visual and acoustic privacy.
"Pleasant stay " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/18/2007 Vote
4. The very second day of our stay here saw preparations for the fashion show begin with the erection of 2 giant marquees in the pool area and an even bigger one which holds 800 people in the side street next to the pool.
"Nice hotel but wouldnt stay again " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/16/2010 Vote
5. Also don't miss the Pizza bar just down the street, only in Miami can you get served by a dude dressed all in black complete with shades and a gold pizza chain around his neck.
"Miami Chic " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/12/2009 Vote
6. , the entrance to The Raleigh is hidden from street traffic by a thick array of foliage which differs from most hotels that give passers-by full view of the front doors.

8. We paid $250 a night for a street-view room, but were upgraded (for free) upon arrival to an ocean view room.

9. The room was large however the view of the street was disapointing for the $1300 a night price tag - $ 650 a night - off season.
"THEY NEED EXTERMINATORS " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/19/2008 Vote
10. Location - I've been to Miami many times and if you want to stay on South Beach, in a decent hotel you cannot stay anywhere from 1st up to atleast 13th street.
"Great choice for SoBe " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/12/2007 Vote
