1. Maybe the best compliment I can make is that I have previously stayed at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach, at a very much higher cost than the Palms, and can honestly say that I found the Palms to better in every way.
"Lovely hotel, best value for money and service in South Beach " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/23/2009 Vote
2. Ultimately, if you are careful with all of the extra costs, this is a good (though not great) hotel for the area, and I would recommend it to friends.

3. My friend moved a pack of M&M from the mini-bar but put it back once she found out that it would cost $3.93.

7. The hotel staff did compensate our room at a discounted rate and sent up a bottle of wine & cheese plate (which cost $67 total according to their room service menu), and they gave us passes to the breakfast buffet for 2 mornings (which costs $30/person).

8. In order to be issued with a towel (yes, 'a' towel, no more than one per person - it cuts down on laundry costs) you have to hand over the card and when, at the end of your visit to the pool, you hand in your towel, the card is returned, ready for a re-run the next day.
"Stay well away " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/19/2009 Vote
9. The general manager was on the scene before you could say 'Toast' and re-appeared a few minutes later with a cheque for the cost of my husband's jacket.
"Stay well away " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/19/2009 Vote
10. This system also cuts down on costs, as the hotel doesn't need to employ pool attendants to do this towel gathering for you.
