Positives of this property: Starbucks in the lower level with an outdoor patio, a nice though small pool deck, a great beach area (chairs are ten dollars so be ready for that), a bike rental shop out front, and a very short walk to many fine restaurants, you do not need a car at this hotel if you are just doing Miami Beach.

3. It was a weekend (and hence quite busy), but we were still able to find loungers around the pool deck, which had a really festive atmosphere.

4. The convinience of the Starbucks in the lobby is great, and the pool bar/restaurant was perfect for lunch and afternoon cocktails (also a plus that there are servers who come serve you drinks and food on the pool deck).

8. Book a concierge level room, the breakfast and afternoon cocktail hour is great and there is a deck where you can lounge and see the cruise ships so closely, you can almost touch them.

9. There's a small fridge in the room with flat screen tv and plenty of light from one patio door leading to a huge balcony/deck patio with lounge chairs overlooking the ocean and another side wall windows with view of downtown and street below.
