1. These poor midwest boobs that spend thousands of dollars to buy a time share and then pay Marriott in excess of $1000+ dollars annual maintenance fees each year for the smallest and cheapest units, finance the ongoing timeshare sales AND pay for the space they are using to sell more units.
"Worldclass location. Average facility and services. Typical timeshare. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/22/2011 Vote
2. The snorkel adventure at Lanai'i was the highlight of our trip; worth every cent (except for the $40 booking fee).
"Beautiful condo and beautiful view - enjoyed our stay. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/20/2010 Vote
3. There's a Hawaiian guy just to the right under the umbrella that will teach you how to surf ( for a fee) and there's plenty of places to eat and shop, and if you go down all the way to the Black Rock and snorkle you might see the 4 huge turtles that were there.

5. The layout of the property is pretty large and it could take a while to walk from your car to your room is you choose to self-park (Parking fee is the same per day whether you self-park or valet) so might as well valet and enjoy the day.

7. No offense, but I can't understand why in the world someone would ever buy a timeshare here or anywhere when you can rent a week off red week from an owner for less than their annual Maintainence fee.
"Great family spot " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/4/2012 Vote

9. Maintenance fees could seem high to someone who doesn't visit this island regularly, but a room of the same size with the same amenities usually rents for $600-$900 a day (check rental costs of Ali'i 1 & 2 bedroom oceanfront and Westin timeshare rooms at North Kaanapali, if you don't believe me).
"Maui Visitor for over 20 years & I picked the Marriott Maui Ocean Club " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/29/2011 Vote
10. They've already paid thosands in buy in fees that they will never be able to recoup (just check out the timeshare resale market) and they also annual pay fees of at least $150 PER day or more just to keep their unit.
