4. I am not crazy about resort fees to begin with as they include things like Wi Fi, gym , free newspaper?and use of the pool,( which was closed for maintenance) even if you do not utilize any of these things, you still pay the resort fee.

5. Gyms, pools etc are free to use in virtually all hotels in any country as it is part and parcel of enticements to draw customers.

6. But for the fee you get an excellent gym (a bit small but otherwise great), in room / in hotel internet service that really works (I used it for realtime stock trading using 2 computers with no problems) and also for Netflix video.

7. Pool area was nice, but if they are trying to recreate a South Beach feel - cut out the blaring rock and play Latin/Cuban/Latino music - The gym was basic, but adequate and looks over the pool area.
