3. Definitely hit the restaurant on Monday and Thursday nights (1/2 price entree nights) and on Friday and Saturday, where the have an absolutely amazing Prime Rib and King Crab leg buffett for only $35.00 a person, and that includes, bread, salad, soup, dessert and non-alcohol drinks.

5. The beach is open to the public and there's an extensive set of rental gear available (snorkels, kayaks, boogie boards, etc.)As in most of these places there a mandatory daily resort fee which covers self-parking, Internet access, etc. The hotel has done a bit of a stealth price increase over the past three years, in that the resort fee used to include a welcoming mai tai or pina colada for two plus a 1/2 day snorkel rental each day.
"Beautiful and friendly Marriott right on the beach " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/26/2012 Vote
6. The breakfast buffet was great; food of course pricey (it's hawaii), but all very good--they had a few deals, like happy hour drinks and half price entrees a few days, which was very reasonable and again, good quality food.

9. Maybe being from the NYC area I'm not as shocked at the prices as some of the people who reviewed it (don't stay in Kaanapali/Lahaina in Maui if you think this is expensive people) but it is a very good option in this part of the island.
