1. It was a spacious size room, the shower was excellent, we requested for a microwave & had one brought to the room @ no charge.

3. I'm disabled and needed something to sit on while taking a shower - they immediately supplied me with a hospital-grade shower chair for use that was very clean.

The good things were the lovely landscaping and unexpected gardens and courtyards, a very comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower, friendly housekeeping personnel, great view of the harbor, convenient location, and the jolt of seeing an airplane overhead seemingly close enough to touch as it lands at Hilo Airport.

8. There was a mini-fridge in the closet (thought it was a safe at first), a/c, tub and shower in older style bathroom, a little lanai overlooking the carp pond, coffee pot, hair dryer in the dresser drawer, and I'd requested a microwave so that was in there as well.

9. I spent most of my time outside of the hotel exploring the island, so why would I want to waste money on a fancy room I'd only be sleeping and showering in.
