This is not a huge deal but it's a little unexpected- The hotel is about 0.7 Miles from where everything happens on Waikiki i.e. The major shopping strip, beaches - If you are on higher floors (we were on 17) and you page 10 bucks more, you get a view that includes a slice of the ocean somewhere over there.
