As some other reviewers have noted, the hotel could be described as being slightly older and dated, but honestly we have no complaints - it's clean and comfortable, and very good value (they are pretty competitively priced anyway, but we managed to score a great online deal directly on the Aqua Bamboo & Spa website).

The front desk attendants were very helpful & knowledgeable; they helped us arrange our transportation to the airport for a day trip to Maui, as well as helping us deal with the issue of parking our rental car (the ramp next door at the Pacific Monarch is $5 cheaper than the parking through the hotel, though you do need exact change for the machine and have to walk up and down the steep ramp to your car).
