7. I would have preferred that employees at the time had felt empowered to make decisions to correct issues and deal with problems; but, that said, the Manager and General Manager have made considerable concessions to us, and to my son and his bride, in the interest of service recovery, for which I thank them.

8. If you can deal with the elevator issue, which in the grand scheme of things is not really a big deal) and are looking for a hotel with charm and personality in a great downtown setting, this is a great place to stay.
