3. On the upside, the staff were friendly except for the breakfast lady (who somehow managed to take from 7am to 7:45 to 'set up' the breakfast when it opens at 7am, and is not too pleasant when approached), and if you are not too timid to walk through tougher neighbourhoods, it's actually well situated.

7. In fact, there was construction on New York Ave that shut down the side walk to the train station, the detour the hotel gave us sent us through a very interesting section of town (if I wasn't walking with 2 gentlemen I would never have walked down that street, even in broad daylight).

8. Pros: the hotel room was very clean and well taken care of, breakfast was decent although there were so many people staying there that finding a seat was a challenge, and it was close to the metra station (less than a 10 min walk).
