1. The location is great - good running trails, the Metro and zoo are nearby and there are a good variety of restaurants across the street (although the same one that have been there for over 10 years!).

2. October is a great time to go because its mid-Autumn -still warm enough to avoid a coat, yet cool enough to walk the streets at night and take in the (quiet) nightlife.

4. Stayed here for a convention, and the Metro stop is right down the street which makes it very convenient to get to the capitol.

5. Bottom line: you are much better off at Marriott than the Omni Shoreham (across the street), that hotel is much older and worn.
