1. Our view was of a wall on all sides, dark and sad, but it's New York, so what did I expect.

5. The staff are rude, the views are awful and (due to the above mentioned lack of aircon) you have to leave the windows open all the time which overlook a major area of noisy plant equipment.

6. I'd read mixed reviews but our room was great; our expectations were that it would be a small NYC hotel room with a chance of a view- the window looked out onto a brick wall 1 foot away but we were ok with that as we were outside most of the time.

7. Originally when we checked in at noon they said that if we needed a room right away, they could only give us one at the back of the hotel with no view but if we waited till check-in time we would get a better room.
