1. I did have an issue with the vent in the shower being open-looking and the dust, dirt, and cob webs being clearly visable.
"Needs Some Updating, but the Serivce was Great! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/23/2012 Vote
2. You can't close it, so it's a little scary standing under it while showering.
"Older Hotel....Don't Expect Much " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/9/2012 Vote
3. And on the ceiling above the shower is a disgusting vent with cobwebs and dust and mildew covering the inside.

4. The shower did not have a fancy shower head, but the force of the water could shoot you across the room.

5. Both the shower and the toilet made some interesting noises.
"Cool hotel with a great location but lacking in a few areas. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/1/2011 Vote
6. The shower head was a joke as the holes were almost completely rusted out.
"Great staff, but hotel seemed old and shabby " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/31/2011 Vote
7. I had to ask them to furnish my room (I was missing a chair), the shower head was terrible, old style water-wasting variety.

8. I originally thought my feet were dirty from walking outside in flip flops but later discovered that the carpet was making my feet dirty after I showered and my white socks turned black.
"Not bad but not fab... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/2/2010 Vote
9. The original room assigned to us on the sixth floor needs updating - washroom flooded after showers - and was rather noisy - we could hear the streetcar running.
"Great Location " Read full review on Expedia   1/6/2010 Vote
10. This was surprising, since it had so many things going for it beyond its reputation: a) excellent location in the CBD, just steps from the Quarter but removed from its noise & frenzy -- and an easy stroll in the other direction to the Warehouse/Arts districtb) very courteous, polite staffc) stylish lobby & groundsd) all 'public' guest facilities (ice machines, business center, convenience store, pool/fitness center) available and in working orderThere were, however, a number of shortcomings I wasn't entirely able to overlook:a) a rather shopworn appearance of some of the rooms (mine) and corridorsb) lack of sufficiently hot shower waterc) housekeeping knocking at 8:00a (!)d) no balcony rooms as reserved (not a huge issue at all, just somewhat of a disappointment)e) front desk touting '24-hour room service,' but the property book indicating 7:00a - 11:00p.
