1. There is a convenience store called Moms just across the street, if you don't care to pay the hotel's prices for in room snacks.

5. New orleans is still an extraordinary experience with massive numbers of hugely loud crowds on Bourbon Street and beyond and incredible music blaring from every hole in the wall.

6. The French Quarter is even dirtier than usual and the smells are not exactly pleasant unless you like the aroma of dampness, stale alcohol spilled in the street or other olfactory experiences which will go unmentioned.
