We walked everywhere; the hotel is four blocks from Bourbon Street and about one mile from Cafe du Monde, riverboat tour pick-up, etc. The rooftop swimming pool was pretty standard and not huge, but clean; the area gets a lot of shade from tall buildings, which I appreciate -- but if you are looking to get a lot of sun, you may not.
