1. Each evening the lounge was transformed with a plethora of food and drinks (we did not partake as we had huge dinner reservations each evening) but the food did look nice.

6. Make sure you eat a Po Boy at Mothers, they are the best, also the Desire Oyster house on Bourbon Street was good for dinner, We ate Etoufee and shrimp and grits, and of course eat at cafe Du Monde as often as you can, the beignets are to die for.

7. We had dinner on the first night and tried the 5 course Tastes of New Orleans menu - the food was delicous and well cooked, although we did run out of cutlery part the way through and had to 'borrow' extra from an empty table.
