good karma while I'm there maybe :) The Cabana
Suite
s are plush, and there is security routinely visible, and everyone at the El Cortez cares about the casino and the people there, so no worries, its safe.

The Cabana
Suite
s are roomy and the decor is modern but pays respect to vintage 'old Vegas'.

My
suite
was the one entitled 'The Long Sleep' which is meant to look like your final resting place in the desert after being taken out by the mob.

Seemed to be given the option of whether to stay in the older bit or the new Cabana
suite
and happily went for the latter as it's newer.

By the way very friendly security staff outside the cabana
suite
s building 24/7 which we appreciated as you have to walk outside and cross the street to this building.

The location is great since you can get away from noise of the Freemont experience and actually get a good night's sleep-when you finally call it a night, or a day ;DWe like to stay in the Cabana
Suite
s directly behind the Casino.

We were offered a room at the Cabana
suite
s, which are reportedly nicer, but we like staying where we gamble.
