The bus to the strip comes every 5-10 minutes from across the road from the hotel; I found that on the LV strip itself, you HAVE to take the bus anyway as the strip is so extremly long that its impossible to walk across it, so the extra 5 minute ride up to Downtown to the El Cortez hotel was nothing, and it cost exactly the same as what it would on the strip anyway.
