1. I will start with the positives; the hotel is in a superb location, in the heart of the French quarter but away from the worst of the noise and excesses of the NO party.

4. It's an easy walk from the hotel to anywhere in the French Quarter, and though it's only a block from Bourbon Street, there was no noise until the trash trucks started up around 7:00.

10. The novelty of the balcony outweighed the nuisance of the night time noise, but I think that if I was returning without the group I would probably request a room overlooking the courtyard or in Herman House.
