1. If you live close enough to make the trip by car, the Dauphine offers valet parking on site for an acceptable fee, this is one reason we chose the Dauphine.

I honestly have no complaints about my stay here (no hidden fees during check-in, friendly staff, good accommodations), but on the contrary, I must say that the hotel was a perfect choice: close enough to walk to the heart of Bourbon Street, yet far enough from the noise to get a good night sleep.

3. I will just get rid of the car and shuttle/cable car/taxi/walk to where I am going as the fees for storing your car are not so much high as an added expense, granted not as high as San Fran but $30 plus tax was high for what we paid for the room and never used the car.
