2. Polk Street is one street back from the hotel where you will find a great variety of restaurants and cafes (we ate there every night).

7. Concierge did double duty in the gift shop, he had great ideas on what restaurants to go to and I did fully agree with him after I followed his recommendations.

8. Yes there is noise on Van Ness, but, rooms are nice,staff friendly and cordial,1 block from California Street cable car terminus, and many good local restaurants 1 block away on Polk Street.
