1. Our stay at the Inn at East Beach was fantastic, the service and friendly staff were exceptional and welcoming.

2. We stayed in some B&Bs throughout this trip, and this had all of the perks they did (local business with friendly staff, nice breakfast, charming) except with hotel amenities like a room bigger than a broom closet and a nice pool.

3. Also, as it's a motel, the very nice continental breakfast can be eaten in the central courtyard, which is fine, except if your room faces the courtyard -- so you can hear the other guests at 7am.

6. Most of the rooms have no view except to a rather sterile pool, area.

7. One exception, I found a partially used bottle of body lotion in the bath basket which had not been replaced and remained in that condition during my stay - not a good omen.

9. The owner then RUDELY told them he would charge them a $250 cancellation fee even though they were obviously not cancelling for any reason except that they physically could not get in their room.
