And the beds are so comfortable that i actually called to see if i could buy one of the mattresses (you can- the concierge was very helpful and knowledgeable about this- i guess i am not the only one)I love the pool- relaxing, quiet- feels like a real retreat AND the beach club across the street with a new, Olympic size swimming pool, a restaurant and beach access is pretty phenomenal.

3. Getting to the beach for fabulous walks (when the tide's right you can walk for several miles) is a snap, just walk across the quiet Channel Drive in front of the hotel and you're there.

5. While State Street in Santa Barbara is filled with action and lots to do, The Biltmore will give you a more quiet ocean retreat.
