7. When we arrived, the front desk person told us we were being upgraded to the Anacapa Suite, room 501, the second nicest suite in the whole place, and by the way, 'happy Anniversary.

9. The staff were all nice and helpful, except for the bartender at the Tydes restaurant who seemed annoyed when we ordered the happy hour priced glass of wine for $7 to drink while we watched the sunset.
