1. This is a basic hotel but it is very clean and the staff is EXCEPTIONAL, everyone from the front desk staffer to the maintenance man we asked about the ice machine.

4. Was a little unsure when they dont show room pictures for each style of room but the roo was exactly what I expected except a bigger bathroom.

6. Breakfast for 2 was included when i booked on the hotels site, which was a full breakfast including everything except tax and tip.

7. We have used other hotels close to the cruises port before and Porto Vista is an exceptional value compared to most and much cleaner and more comfortable than several of the other hotels that offer similar pricing for the package.

8. When we checked out they said the reason for the lights not working in the bathroom was because it was an 'eco-friendly' room and required us to swipe our key to turn on the lights but all the lights worked in the hotel except the bathroom.

9. Other than the small rooftop viewing area, the remainder of the rooftop was adorned with an open area lined with attractive seating, but all of this was behind a large padlocked gate unavailable to guests except at times undetermined and unmarked (no signs explaining when it was open).

10. The hallways were covered with disgustingly stained carpet (except for the 5th floor concrete hallways) and lined with air conditioning units jutting out into the small hallway about 12 inches and many of these were rusting and in need of paint.
