3. While the convenience of Park Manor Suites to the buzzing gay vibe of Hillcrest is desirable, its outdated heating and cooling systems, outdated furnishings, and woefully inadequate sound-proofing gave me more the sensation of staying in one of those wacky, personality-filled antique New York apartments.

6. As a Midwesterner I was a little nervous due to the unseasonable temperatures (80s/90s) and no air conditioners but there were both ceiling fans in each room and the stand up fans in the bedrooms that did indeed help cool the space at night.

8. If you are looking for the Four Seasons go elsewhere, if cool, funky, hip boutique hotels are your style book here, you wont regret it.

9. I slept with the windows open and enjoyed it, nothing like the cool breeze coming in from the ocean at night, and really, it just isnt that hot in San Diego.
