1. Meals in the Colonial room are also great- we had a wonderful breakfast on a week day and the prices were fair.

2. A wonderful location next door to the Alamo and a beautiful historic hotel -- we stumbled in off the street without reservations and were lucky enough to score a room at a decent price -- less than some of the chain motels out on the interstate.
