2. Try the Colonial Restaurant for a made to order omelet and an excellent Bacon Cheeseburger and fries, Since we were attending 'Dawn at the Alamo' and needed to be on the Alamo grounds at 5:30 am, it worked beautifully to stay at the Menger.

8. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated with antiquey looking furniture and has old pictures throughout of guests that stayed there, even from the 1800s.
