1. They over chlorinated the pool and it turned my son's black t-shirt a light brown color, and wasn't very pleasant on the eyes and skin.

Things I liked: pleasant staff, the section of the Riverwalk the hotel was located on, taking the river taxi home in the evening, value for money with the great deal I gotThings I didn't care for: misleading signage in elevator, some staff confusionThing to check: the security latch (the only latch) on the balcony sliding doors was improperly installed and couldn't latch.

9. It's a pleasant 20 minute walk to the center of things, and the hotel has a streetcar stop across the street and a river taxi dock.

10. I'd say a pleasant pace would take 30 minutes but there are ways to get to the Alamo area in about 15 taking surface streets.
