7. We love the convenient location: in FQ, next to Canal St, across the street to St Charles St car, next door is Walgreens, 3 blocks from Police Dept where there is a Cafe Beignet which serves good coffee and breakfast.

8. French Quarter is so lovely to walk around and there is a great trolley car system to take you to other parts of the city.

But if you're looking for an inexpensive, clean hotel that's perfectly situated - and by that I mean close to the action in the French Quarter and at a comfortable remove from the insanity of Bourbon Street (you won't sleep if you stay at one of the hotels on Bourbon Street) - and with lovely staff that go out of their way to help, the Holiday Inn French Quarter will do nicely.
