1. The Westin overlooks the Mississippi River and the view from the lobby (and our room) was nothing short of spectacular.

We just spent two nights from hell at the Westin Canal Place, and the only reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one star is because the staff was reasonably friendly and apologetic, and the view from the lobby remains spectacular (when an obnoxious drunk girl is not passed out on the couch, that is).
