2. 1970; a window air conditioner precariously perched in the window (and affording zero privacy); ceiling fan that didn't work; a door that was cut off and was about 4 inches higher than the floor; and thin cheers over double doors that let in the courtyard spotlight light, all night long.

4. If you ARE used to that type of travel accommodation (and I tip my hat to you that you can afford such places), then it's probably not your cup of tea.
