1. So, why not replace the bathroom doors so there isn't any sign of the 1970's? Anyway, aside from my little pet peeve with the old bathroom doors (somewhat common in renovated hotels), its a perfectly good place to stay.

2. Check prices, of course, but unless you are looking for a cozy and quaint Nawlins experience, the Marriott might be a good all-around choice.
