3. Most of all, the price was right; we felt safe, taken care of by the staff, relatively close to everything, slept comfortably and in all, enjoyed our stay.

It may be corporate influence, it may be the economy, but I believe that it is just that the team at the Hotel Preston just may no longer care to differentiate themselves and their property from the rest of the run-of-the-mill 'two beds, crapper, and boob-tube' accommodations that abound in every city.

6. The decor is worn, the rooms (and especially the bathroom) furnishings are in disrepair, and the staff appears to have misplaced (lost?) the one attribute that made the Hotel Preston what it once was - an attitude of unique, an attitude of fun, an attitude of 'we care'.

7. We did have problems on our floor with noisy neighbors, but hotel staff took care of situation.

8. I expected an 'okay' experience but was extremely impressed with the care and attention of the staff, the excellent accommodations, the good food - and to top it all off live entertainment in their lounge that was a joy to experience.
