4. The staff were friendly and helpful but the little shop in the lobby is very overpriced so don't buy your water from there - it's much cheaper in the vending machines upstairs.

7. We have stayed at other downtown hotels that are closer to the Broadway/2nd Avenue nightlife, but the Holiday Inn was about $70 dollars cheaper for the night we booked, so we gave it a try.
