2. All in all, the much less prestigious Holiday Inn seemed to be just as clean and comfortable with better service and a much better location for tourism (by the Arena, Bayside Marketplace, and the bridge to Miami Beach) and I imagine it would have cost a lot less.

3. Overall I would not return unless I received a fantastic rate, and even then, there are much better options in my opinion that I really wouldn't return.

7. Closing the blinds at night is a real pain and I tripped over a stupidly placed magazine rack which has seen better days and looks like plenty of other people have tripped over it too.

8. The front desk staff told us at check in that the hotel was 'fully committed' and we could not be upgraded (even if we paid extra for a better room).

9. I'm actually a die-hard Hilton Honors fan; however, the rate at Marriott was better than the Conrad in Miami so I went ahead and tried it.
