1. Service was prompt and efficient in restaurants and elsewhere, except one time in the bar.

2. The Hilton Universal City is in an exceptional location - If you book a room on the upper floors, you will have great views of the city, Hollywood Hills or Universal Studios.

4. I would have to say that this hotel has exceptional customer service, from the Valet, front desk, greeters,housekeepers and the pool service staff.

5. Not much to do in its immediate surrounding area except the Universal Studio the hotel is next to.

6. The reason why I chose POOR over TERRIBLE is that the staff (for the most part) was gracious and helpful - except of course the clerk who took my breakfast order over the phone.

7. Overall though, I'd have to say that it was value for the dollar, with the exception of their over-rated buffet, but that's a completely separate review.

8. SInce we didn't want to venture out we ate in the hotel restaurant (something I try to avoid except for breakfast).

9. We were, however, told by the front desk staff that since the hotel had few guests the shuttle's last run back to the hotel would be at 4:30pm and we were told by the shuttle driver the same time, except he said it was due to it being a holiday.

10. On our first morning we were specifically told that we can self serve anything from the buffet except for hot items.
