7. The Beverly Centre is a decent sized shopping centre just down the road (5 minute walk) and there's a good mix of restaurants within very close walking distance (the Japanese restaurant was lovely).

It is adapted for 21st century travelers, skipping the unused add-ons (in house restaurant, glam lobby) but providing all of the details I look for in a room -- reliable free internet, big enough closet with lots of hangers (11); coffee maker; alarm clock with big display of the time, iron, toiletries, decent pillows, and windows that open.
