4. The reason you pay big bucks for the Sofitel is two things - the 'name' and the swanky bar.

The room was comfortable and had a save, iron + board, minibar (very important and you can lock it), big TV Flat Screen, iPod docking station with alarm and radio, a lot of space where you can store your clothes and luggage, the best hairdryer ever, a balcony door, enough towels (big, middle and small) and it was perfectly clean.

8. Room was not very big but receptionists were very kind and helpful, inter-net access was quite nice, and free breakfast was good though that was continental breakfast.

9. I'm not big on buses or public transportation, but did take a bus down Melrose Ave one night home from Pink's Hot Dogs (to Melrose at LaCienega) for $1.
