1. It was nice that the the manager emailed me to say he'd throw in free internet on my next visit, but there won't be a next visit -- it's not worth free internet.

3. This hotel would have been fine 20 years ago, but now almost everything looks incredibly dated, with the exception of the lobby which is fine, and tricks you into thinking you're staying somewhere nice.

4. Allie's, the breakfast and lunch place, is more mediocre (the server kept trying to persuade me to get the buffet after i politely declined twice) and the staff in the 'nice' revolving restaurant (CK?) can be a bit snarky, plus prices there are outrageous for what you get.

6. At the Marriott Houston, yes, you pay for the location but here's what you get:- Reasonably quiet facilities- Decent facilities including nice rooms, a revolving restaurant at the top and good regular restaurant and a good exercise room.
