1. Free breakfast was nice with assortment of basic breads, cereal, make-yourself waffles, fresh fruit (bananas/apples), juices (apple/orange), milk, and coffee -- much better offering than what I was expecting.

4. These many issue seem incongruent with special added touches that they do right, like planter boxes with live flowers all around the second floor walk, towels folded into fancy shapes, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, higher end soaps/shampoo, nice looking lobby and landscaping in front.

6. If anything, this hotel's proximity (within 100 yards) to a nice Chinese restaurant and a full-size grocery store with a FANTASTIC deli department made my stay just that much more enjoyable.

9. There are always cookies and coffee in the lobby, as well as a nice breakfast spread (get there early.

The rooms are just charming and aren't boring impersonal hotel rooms at all; there are silk trees and flowers, as well as other little homey touches, such as hanging baskets on the wall and pretty pieces of furniture, such as decorative rocking chairs or little end tables with a nice tablecloth and vase of flowers on top.
