1. The security guard was friendly and extremely helpful; the evening front desk attendant was bored, rude, and wouldn't even call a taxi for me one night (I stood in front of her and called several companies that wouldn't pick up their phones before finding one) and any question asked of her was met with a sullen, 'I couldn't tell you.

2. The staff was great, the security guard I talked to had worked for the hotel for over 30 years, that says something to me.

3. If you need a dingy crash pad and don't mind furnishing that look like they haven't been updated since 1986, then the Milner might be ok for you, but if security, comfort, and a level of convenience that is at LEAST as good as what you have at home are important, MOVE ON.

4. There is no security in the building, no cameras (except in the lobby).

6. It did not offer car parking, but we were lucky enough to get a street parking spot right outside the front door, where there was a security guard posted at night.

7. They told us where the security office was for the parking garage, so we were then able to get the car out.

8. It's no more secure than when you lock your bathroom door at home.

9. It's the same type of flimsy, hollow door that one would use in a bathroom or bedroom in one's home, and you don't even get a key to the dead bolt, so when you leave the room, the only lock keeping your room and belongings secure is the one that's built into the door handle.
